It’s Time To Take Ownership

2/20 Edited to

... Read moreTaking ownership of your spiritual journey means more than just avoiding blame—it means actively confronting the compromises in your life and choosing obedience over comfort. Based on the crucial reminder that if our faith never challenges sin or reshapes our priorities, we are simply managing life rather than truly following Jesus, many find that embracing this crossroad leads to profound transformation. In my own experience, acknowledging where I had allowed compromise to take root was uncomfortable but essential. For example, applying scripture to daily challenges in marriage or parenting demanded a reordering of what I thought was important, often clashing with cultural norms or convenience. Yet, choosing obedience helped me experience growth and deeper peace beyond superficial comfort. It’s important to remember that faithfulness involves practical daily decisions—to uphold biblical truth and resist cultural pressures that encourage compromise. This mindset shift can impact all areas, from singleness and aging to work and family life. As you reflect on your journey, ask yourself whether you are managing life within your comfort zone or embracing the costly yet liberating call to obey and follow Jesus fully. Ultimately, embracing ownership means rejecting the excuse of cultural blame and instead faithfully confronting sin with the hope of restoration and realignment with God’s purposes. This posture empowers believers to live out authentic, transformative faith that touches every aspect of life.
