Daily Dairy Day 8 : 8/5/24
Happy Monday, friends. It was decent morning outside when I took the dogs on their morning walk. We came back inside and watched some of the show “exploding cats” with our roommates. It’s funny and interesting at the same time 😂😅 I decided to do my daily check in on Fitbit, Snapchat, and Evidation ✅ Anyways, M (I’ll at least give them initials lol and do this for people from now on) left for work for the day soon after that. My roommate S and I decided to eat some breakfast. They had lasagna and I had sausage and peaches 🍑
I’m very proud of myself for already stepping on my mat and doing yoga. My body felt good, but also like it got worked just enough. However, I Got frustrated at getting interrupted during the time I was doing yoga. People only ever want to call when I’m in the middle of doing things for myself. Why, just why?? A decision was made after that. I almost didn’t go back to the mat. I wanted to get through one video uninterrupted though, and that video was the one that felt the best! So glad I followed through on something for myself yay 🥰
My roommate took the doggos potty and I got a text that my cuzzy got Covid, so our beach trip is prob canceled. Oh well, hope he feels better. Hubby and I talked on the phone 🧡📞 He caught me up about his day so far. Per usual a stop at Napa first. Then on his way to the next adventure of fixing an AC on a shaker.
I browsed dinners ideas on lemon8 and Pinterest. Wasn’t sure what I going to find and was so excited when a simple at home bean and cheese burrito sounded amazing 😻🌯🫘 Of course work sides of rice and some vegetables 🥒🥑
Sam worked late, so he still wasn’t home by 5:15pm. Makes me sad not seeing him for such a long period of time, but know how much amazing work he’s doing for his company. I love that man so much. He’s the love of my life and after 💜🦖🤟🏼👑
After the walk, it just felt like it was time to relax 😌 To start that process, it was clean up time and weekly reset time. My weekly reset is to build my week with the best intentions of habits and things that I need to do for mental sanity lol.
Dinner was amazingly simple with the best flavors tonight! Could not be more satisfied with a homemade bean burrito 🤤❣️ We came to the room and Sam filled out his time card. Then it was stretch time to help digest our meal 🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻 Cool down time and watching tv to end the night and wind down before bed 🥱✨🌜😴

In today's fast-paced world, prioritizing personal wellbeing can be a challenge. Engaging in activities like yoga not only enhances physical health but also promotes mental clarity. If you're struggling with distractions during your workout, consider setting a specific timeframe for your practice, which can help minimize interruptions. Meal planning can also play a critical role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. For instance, preparing simple at-home meals such as bean and cheese burritos is a delightful way to enjoy nutritious food without the stress of complex cooking. Incorporate seasonal vegetables for added flavor and health benefits. Additionally, the importance of mindfulness cannot be overstated. Taking time to unwind after a hectic day by implementing a weekly reset routine is crucial for both mental health and overall productivity. This involves assessing your accomplishments and setting intentions for the upcoming week, which helps create a balanced mindset. Whether it’s dedicating time to read, meditate, or enjoy a leisurely activity, these practices foster a strong mental and emotional connection with oneself. Lastly, nurturing personal relationships, like those with roommates or loved ones, can enhance your emotional wellbeing. Sharing meals, conversations about daily accomplishments, or simply enjoying each other’s company can greatly uplift your mood and contribute to a positive living environment. Embracing these small yet significant aspects of daily life can cultivate a deeper connection to yourself and your surroundings.
