Goals for 30 ✨
New years means new goals and things that we want to accomplish for ourselves. My 20s have been an era of a lot of learning and self-growth. This is my last year before I turn 30 so here are some goals I have that I want to accomplish before I hit the big 3-0 at the end of the year. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to accomplish every goal but I would like to try and see what happens.

It’s funny how often 'learn something new' pops up on our goal lists, especially as we hit big milestones like turning 30! But how do we truly enjoy the process, rather than just ticking a box? For me, this past year has been all about shifting that mindset. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to tie new knowledge back to my passions. For instance, my goal to 'START A PROJECT' isn't just about launching something; it's about diving deep into a topic I genuinely care about, like sustainable living or digital art. When you're passionate, the learning feels less like work and more like an exciting exploration. I've found that watching documentaries, reading books, and even taking short online courses related to my project has become incredibly enjoyable. Another game-changer has been embracing 'SOLO TRAVELING' as a learning opportunity. It’s not just about seeing new places; it’s about learning to navigate unfamiliar environments, understanding different cultures, and even picking up a few phrases in a new language. You learn so much about yourself when you're out of your comfort zone, and those lessons stick with you. The challenge of it, rather than the fear, is what makes it fun. And honestly, even seemingly dry goals like 'PAY OFF ALL MY DEBT' can be turned into an enjoyable learning experience. I started viewing financial literacy not as a chore, but as a superpower. Learning about budgeting apps, investment basics, and smart saving strategies has been incredibly empowering. It’s a project in itself, and seeing progress makes the 'learning' part incredibly satisfying. To truly enjoy learning, I’ve found it helpful to: Break it down: Don't try to master everything at once. Small, consistent steps make the journey less overwhelming. Make it practical: Can you apply what you're learning immediately? Whether it's a new recipe, a coding skill for your 'START A PROJECT' goal, or a budgeting trick, application solidifies knowledge and boosts enjoyment. Share your journey: Talking about what you're learning with friends or family (or even on Lemon8!) can make it more engaging and help you process information. Celebrate progress: Every small win, every new concept grasped, is a reason to pat yourself on the back. This positive reinforcement makes you want to learn more. My goal to 'TREAT MYSELF' and 'TREAT MY FAMILY' also involves learning – learning how to budget effectively to afford those experiences, researching the best ways to create lasting memories, and understanding what truly brings joy. It’s all interconnected. So, if 'enjoy learning new things' is on your list too, remember it’s not just about the outcome, but the fascinating process of discovery. What new adventure will you embark on next?
