I've always loved imagining what our favorite characters would look like if they grew up or took on new roles, and Kirby felt like the perfect candidate for an epic transformation! For this particular piece, which I lovingly hand-drew on some good old lined paper, I envisioned a more mature, powerful Kirby. The 'Star Knight' concept just clicked for me. I wanted to give him a grand, heroic look, so the red and gold armor came to mind. It's meant to convey a sense of royalty and strength, but still keep that adorable Kirby charm we all know and love. It’s a fun blend of his classic cuteness with a formidable new persona. And of course, who could forget the wings? When I thought about 'wing kirby' or 'kirby with wings,' I didn't just want plain wings; I wanted something vibrant and magical, hence the rainbow-colored wings! They're not just for show; I imagine them signifying his enhanced aerial abilities and perhaps a connection to cosmic power. You can even see the 'WINGS!' label on my drawing, emphasizing their importance to this new design. They really make him stand out, don't you think? In the drawing, I also included a golden sword, which I imagine as his weapon during his knightly adventures. It's all part of his new Star Knight ensemble. And that little yellow circular character with black and blue features? That's a new companion I designed to accompany him on his journey, a loyal sidekick in this new era. Every hero needs a pal! When thinking about powerful Kirby characters, Meta Knight always comes to mind. While not 'meta knight fanart' directly, this 'Kirby/Star Knight' is my take on a similar heroic, armored figure from the Kirby universe. It's cool to think about how characters evolve! Creating 'kirby cool art' like this is truly a passion project, and I love seeing him come to life on paper. What do you all think of this Timeskip design? Have you ever thought about redesigning a character? Let me know your favorite Kirby power-up or what kind of knight you'd make him! I love seeing other people's 'kirby star drawing' creations and getting inspired. For anyone interested in creating their own 'kirby star drawing' or fanart, I highly recommend starting with a clear concept. What story do you want to tell with your design? Don't be afraid to experiment with colors and forms. For instance, the red and gold armor wasn't my first choice, but it really made him pop. And using simple tools like lined paper and pencils for a 'hand-drawn' piece can produce amazing results. It's all about expressing your creativity! I'm hoping to do more of these timeskip designs, maybe even for other characters in the Kirby universe. It's a fantastic way to stretch your artistic muscles and delve deeper into character development.
