why i drink my coffee before my breakfast
don’t yell at me, I’m big on gut health. i’m also a mommy of a 2 year old and i don’t like being so tired. i don’t eat until at 12pm-noon, so waiting to have my coffee has gotten difficult. my new routine consists of having a cup of bone broth then followed by my cozy, shot of espresso ☕️ now i can be a 5am girly without needing to take a morning nap!
Starting your day with coffee before breakfast can have several benefits, particularly for gut health and energy levels. Many people find that drinking coffee on an empty stomach may stimulate digestion and promote gut health by enhancing gastric motility. Furthermore, coffee contains antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation and improve overall health. For busy parents, like myself, the challenge of managing energy levels while caring for a toddler is real. Incorporating bone broth into the morning routine along with a shot of espresso not only satiates cravings but also provides essential nutrients and proteins, contributing to a nourishing start to the day. This daily ritual can be a simple yet effective way for parents to maintain energy and focus without crashing mid-morning. Additionally, delaying food intake until noon can facilitate intermittent fasting benefits, which some studies suggest can improve metabolism and promote fat loss. Each morning, as I revel in my quiet espresso moment, I prepare for the bustling day ahead, feeling revitalized and content.
