I love doing my man’s skincare 🧖🏽🤍

... Read moreOkay, let's be real – skincare isn't just for us ladies! I used to struggle to convince my man that a little routine could make a huge difference, but once he saw the results, he was hooked. If you're a guy (or trying to get your guy) to start a basic skincare routine, you've come to the right place! It doesn't have to be complicated, and trust me, it’s totally worth it for healthier, clearer skin. My mantra for men's skincare is *keep it simple*. You don't need a ten-step routine to see benefits. We focus on just two or three core products that make a world of difference. Step 1: Cleanse Your Face (Morning & Night) This is non-negotiable! Throughout the day (and night), dirt, oil, and sweat build up on your skin. A good cleanser removes all that gunk without stripping your skin of its natural moisture. For my man, we've had great success with a Gentle Face Wash, especially one designed for men's skin. We've even tried the ARTISTRY men skincare products, and their Gentle Face Wash is fantastic. It lathers well and leaves his skin feeling fresh, not tight. How to do it: Wet your face with lukewarm water, squeeze a small amount of cleanser into your palm, and gently massage it onto your face in circular motions for about 30-60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel. Step 2: Moisturize (Morning & Night) After cleansing, your skin needs hydration. Even if you have oily skin, moisturizing is crucial because it helps balance oil production and keeps your skin barrier healthy. A good Facial Moisturizer locks in moisture and protects your skin from environmental stressors. Again, ARTISTRY has a great Facial Moisturizer that my man really likes – it’s not greasy and absorbs quickly. Look for something that feels comfortable and doesn't leave a heavy residue. How to do it: While your skin is still slightly damp after cleansing, take a dime-sized amount of moisturizer and gently apply it all over your face and neck. Don't forget your neck! Bonus Step (Seriously Important!): Sunscreen (Every Morning) I know, I know, another step? But hear me out: sunscreen is the BEST anti-aging product you can use. It protects your skin from sun damage, which causes wrinkles, sunspots, and significantly increases the risk of skin cancer. Even on cloudy days, UV rays are present. How to do it: After moisturizing in the morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. There are many great options now that aren't chalky or greasy. Tips for Sticking to It: Consistency is Key: Just like hitting the gym, you won't see results overnight. Make it a habit! Listen to Your Skin: If a product feels irritating, stop using it. Everyone's skin is different. Don't Overdo It: More products don't necessarily mean better results. A simple routine is often the most effective. Starting a basic skincare routine for men is easier than you think. My man went from using just water to having noticeably smoother, clearer skin, and he actually enjoys the routine now! Give these simple steps a try, and you'll be amazed by the difference.
