... Read moreMy recent United Polaris First Class journey to Japan was not just about comfort and service, but truly a culinary adventure that exceeded all my expectations. Landing in Japan feeling well-fed and refreshed is the best way to start any trip, and Polaris certainly delivered on that front! I was eager to experience their renowned dining, especially on a flight headed to such a food-centric destination. From the moment the meal service began, I was impressed by the thoughtful menu. While not every dish was strictly traditional Japanese, there were definitely fantastic nods to Asian flavors that made the journey feel culturally immersive. One standout was definitely the ginger beef with sesame seeds, served with fresh cherry tomatoes and greens as an appetizer. It was flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned – a wonderful start that hinted at the deliciousness to come. The presentation was also top-notch, making each course feel like a special treat. Throughout the flight, the variety was excellent. For the main course, I enjoyed a succulent meat dish, perfectly complemented by a creamy mushroom sauce, roasted potato wedges, and crisp green beans. It was hearty and comforting. Even the dish that looked a bit unconventional at first glance turned out to be incredibly delicious, proving that sometimes you just have to trust the chef! Breakfast before arrival was another highlight. It was a comprehensive spread, including a savory pastry, a refreshing yogurt cup, a flaky croissant, and fresh fruit. A glass of red beverage (perhaps a juice or a special drink) rounded it out perfectly. It wasn't just about the quantity – though they certainly fed me well – but the quality and thoughtful preparation of every single item. Having access to a detailed United Polaris first-class menu card was also great, allowing me to explore options for express dining, mid-flight snacks, and even meals before arrival. For anyone considering United Polaris to Japan, I highly recommend savoring every meal. Don't hesitate to explore the menu, especially for any dishes that incorporate local or regional flavors. It truly enhances the whole experience and gets you excited for the culinary delights awaiting you in Japan. The dessert of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and a cherry was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal service!

Japan Tips You ACTUALLY want (PT. 1)
1.) Japan is still HUMID in mid-late October! I’m talking 70s, sticky, direct sun. Japan has adapted their product market well to manage it, but a fan and sun umbrella are a good start for a new traveler! I thought I was gonna miss typhoon season and summer heat, but unfortunately it doesn’t get to
