HOW I LOST 20+ LBS
I love feeling like I can help those out who are seeking it! Guidance and good advice is so precious when it comes to health and taking care of yourself! I am no professional, but this is what worked for me and made me feel my absolute best!
•FASTING
Fasting is seriously a game changer y’all! I fast from 5pm to 12pm. This means I eat my first meal of the day at or after 12, and then I eat my last meal of the day anywhere from 4 to 5. Protein and carbs go into a lot of these meals! I also will have snacks of course like popcorn, smoothies, peanuts, you get it.
•MOVEMENT
Moving your body is so important to mental and physical health! That can be dancing, walking, Pilates, running, lifting, and more.
•MENTAL
It can be difficult to stay motivated, so with that being said it is OKAY if you don’t stick to this everyday of your life. Trust me, I did not and don’t stick to this everyday of my life, it’s just not realistic. Prioritize your mental health. Journaling, nature walks, talking with friends/fam, doing things alone like going to coffee shops. These little things are steps I take to keep myself mentally in check.
•DIET
I try not to restrict, but that doesn’t mean I just eat crap. I eat very healthy, but still allow myself to have a bag of hot chips from time to time. My meals include salmon, sardines, broccoli, olive oil, vegetables, fruits, eggs, and more. Things that will keep you full and healthy.
•DO NOT COMPARE
I know this is so so hard, and I am guilty of it too. But I hope one day we can all learn to be content with our bodies and learn to not yearn for what we do not have. We are all beautiful, and this isn’t just about weight loss, but also a healthy lifestyle!

My journey to losing over 20 lbs and embracing a healthier lifestyle was truly transformative, especially when I was feeling 'VERY DEPRESSED' and lacked 'NO AB DEFINITION'. It wasn't just about the number on the scale; it was about reclaiming my energy, improving my mood, and building sustainable habits. If you're looking for practical ways to achieve a significant 'weight loss transformation' like my '20 lbs lost', here's a deeper dive into what truly made a difference. Intermittent fasting became a cornerstone of my routine, but it's more than just skipping meals. I found that my 5 pm to 12 pm fasting window wasn't just about limiting eating times; it taught my body to become more efficient at burning stored fat. During my fasting hours, I focused on staying hydrated with plenty of water, herbal teas, and black coffee, which helped manage any hunger pangs. When my eating window opened, I made conscious choices to break my fast with nutrient-dense foods like eggs, avocados, or a protein-rich smoothie to avoid overeating and nourish my body effectively. It's a powerful tool, but always listen to your body and adjust as needed. Movement also played a critical role in my transformation. While the original article mentioned various types of movement, I want to emphasize finding what you *enjoy*. For me, it wasn't about grueling gym sessions every day. It was about consistent, joyful movement. Some days, it was a brisk 30-minute walk in nature, which incredibly boosted my mental state and helped lift the cloud of being 'VERY DEPRESSED'. Other days, it might be a fun dance session in my living room or a gentle Pilates routine. The key was consistency and finding activities that made me feel good, not just burned calories. This sustained approach contributed significantly to developing 'visible abdominal definition' over time. When it came to diet, my focus shifted from restriction to nourishment. Instead of cutting out entire food groups, I prioritized whole, unprocessed foods that kept me feeling full and satisfied. My typical meals often included lean proteins like salmon or chicken, a generous serving of colorful vegetables (broccoli, spinach, bell peppers), and healthy fats from olive oil or nuts. I learned to make smart swaps, like choosing baked sweet potatoes over fried foods, and incorporating more fiber-rich fruits. And yes, those occasional bags of hot chips are still part of my life! Allowing myself small treats prevented feelings of deprivation, making the healthy eating sustainable long-term. This balanced approach was crucial for my '20+ lbs weight loss', ensuring I didn't feel like I was constantly battling cravings. Finally, the mental aspect cannot be overstated. Coming from a place of feeling 'VERY DEPRESSED', nurturing my mental health was paramount. Journaling became a daily ritual where I could process thoughts and practice gratitude. Spending time outdoors, even just a few minutes, helped clear my head. Connecting with supportive friends and family reminded me I wasn't alone. I learned to be patient with myself, understanding that progress isn't linear. There were days I didn't stick to my plan perfectly, and that was okay. Instead of giving up, I'd acknowledge it and gently steer myself back on track the next day. This holistic focus on mental well-being was just as vital as diet and exercise in achieving my 'weight loss transformation' and maintaining my 'visible abdominal definition'. Remember, your journey is unique, and celebrating every small step forward is key to lasting success.
