Friday: Upays to Venus 💫

While Western astrology is centered around the psyche and planet placement, Vedic astrology is centered around harmonizing and balancing karma and is derived from constellation placements. Performing upays to the planets can help balance and attract good karma.

This has also been a helpful method to prioritize my self care. I wear many hats and can easily neglect myself. Using Vedic astrology promotes my self care, and Western astrology helps me better understand my true self. I highly recommend looking into these practices for yourself. (Moonly app is🤌) Once I started prioritizing myself more, I've found I have more to give of myself to those around me 💚

What are some other Friday rituals you recommend? 🫶✨️

... Read moreHey everyone! It's amazing how much difference a little intentionality can make in our week, especially when it comes to self-care and attracting positive vibes. For me, Friday has become a day I truly look forward to, dedicating it to Venus, the planet of love, beauty, creativity, and abundance. It's not just a day; it's an opportunity to infuse my life with more harmony and joy. One of the most impactful practices I’ve embraced is the Venus Mantra, often associated with Shukra, the deity responsible for creativity and love. Chanting a mantra like "Om Dram Drem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah" or simply focusing on the qualities of Venus can be incredibly powerful. I usually set aside a quiet moment on Friday mornings, light a candle, and repeat the mantra a set number of times. It helps me center my thoughts, tap into my creative flow, and open my heart to giving and receiving love. It’s like a mini-meditation that sets the tone for the entire day, reminding me to appreciate the beauty around me and within me. Beyond mantras, incorporating specific "upays" (remedies) on Venus's day can further amplify its positive influence. I've found that dressing in beautiful, soft colors like white or light pink, as seen in my favorite intentional light pink clothing, really resonates with Venusian energy. Even something as simple as choosing intentional rose gold eye shadow and pretty pinky lips can be a small act of self-love and adornment that honors Venus. It's about feeling good in my own skin and expressing my inner radiance. Other upays can include donating white or pink items, spending time in nature, listening to soothing music, or engaging in artistic pursuits. These small actions collectively help in balancing karma and fostering a deeper sense of well-being. Understanding how planetary influences, like Venus's placement in the sky or in a birth chart, highlight certain aspects of our lives is truly insightful. While I'm not a professional astrologer, recognizing that Venus governs relationships, aesthetics, and pleasure helps me focus my self-care efforts. On Fridays, I consciously choose activities that nourish these areas – perhaps a long bath, a creative project, or spending quality time with loved ones. It’s about being mindful of the energy of the day and aligning my actions with it to attract more of what I desire: love, beauty, and abundance. I also love incorporating a short Venus meditation on Fridays, similar to what I’ve learned about focusing on originality, creativity, and love. It’s a moment to visualize myself surrounded by a soft, loving light, embracing all aspects of my being. This practice helps to clear any emotional blockages and creates space for positive energy to flow. It’s a wonderful way to truly prioritize myself, ensuring I have more to give to others from a place of genuine overflow, not depletion. By consciously dedicating Fridays to these Venus-aligned practices, I’ve noticed a significant shift in my overall mood and my ability to attract wonderful experiences. It's a journey of self-discovery and self-love that I wholeheartedly recommend exploring!
