I just saw some incredible game recaps and scores – seriously, if you’re not following these local games, you’re missing out on some fantastic moments! Take the North Quincy vs. Marshfield game, for instance. What a nail-biter, with North Quincy clinching it 6-5. Max Lamonica from N. Quincy really stood out with that crucial save and a powerful 2-run double, plus he scored a run himself. Talk about a clutch performance when it matters most! It just goes to show how every single play can change the momentum of the game right down to the wire. You can feel the tension just reading the stats. Then there was the Plymouth North vs. Hanover match-up, another incredibly tight contest that ended 6-5 for Plymouth North. And a huge shoutout has to go to Rhys Adair from Plymouth North for pitching a complete game – that’s 7 innings of pure grit and strategic pitching! That kind of endurance and focus at the high school level is truly commendable and reminds me why I love watching these young athletes develop their skills. It's a testament to their training and mental toughness. And let's not forget the Durfee vs. Bridgewater-Raynham game, where Durfee edged out a hard-fought 5-4 victory. Matt Sherry from Durfee was on fire in that game, hitting a crucial triple, driving in 2 RBIs, and scoring a run. These are the standout moments and individual performances that truly make high school sports so special and memorable.
