My Weight Loss Journey (The Real Version)
I’ve tried everything under the sun to lose weight.
Diet pills. Food plans. Liquid drops. All the things.
Nothing worked — and if anything, I gained more.
At my heaviest, I was 206 lbs. I was unhappy, exhausted, and constantly disappointed in myself. One day I realized something had to change.
In 2020, I committed to the gym.
5 days lifting. 2 days running or walking.
I pushed harder and harder… but the scale didn’t move. I was sore, burnt out, and confused.
So I stopped guessing and started learning.
I meal prepped every Sunday.
I focused on form over reps.
I made a plan that worked for my life.
After months of consistency, I ditched the scale and focused on measurements. I took a DNA test and finally understood what my body actually needed. That changed everything.
I got down to 157 lbs and felt incredible.
Then life hit.
All 5 of my kids started sports or activities.
I coached cheer.
We moved.
I started commuting to work.
Meal prep felt hard. Eating out was easy.
“I’ll work out tomorrow” became a habit.
And within a year, I gained the weight back.
I hit 189 lbs and cried.
But I didn’t quit.
I reset.
I took another DNA test.
I started my vitamins, water intake, and simple workouts I could actually stick to.
Now I’m at 168 lbs.
I’m not at my goal yet — but I feel GOOD.
More energy. More confidence. Less pressure.
My workouts are 20–40 minutes.
My plans are realistic.
My mindset is different.
So I’m starting this page to share my journey.
To help busy moms.
To remind you that baby steps still count.
If I can do this while working full-time, coaching cheer, and raising 5 active kids — you can too 🤍
