My Weightloss journey

I tried for years to lose weight.

I tried all sorts of diets. Keto, cabbage soup, peleo.

When I stopped dieting and made conscious choices that's where I found success.

I also stopped worrying about the scale. Weighing myself multiple times a day and getting upset not find results. Instead I made a goal board. Things I wanted to accomplish that were beyond a number on a scale.

I use to also worry that lifting weights would make me bulky. I promise it never did. As someone who doesn't like cardio, weights is where I found my happy place. Honestly I think for anyone: find something you enjoy doing whether it's lifting, biking, running, dancing and stick with it.

Many individuals struggle with the constant pressure of the scale, leading to frustration and discouragement. However, one key takeaway is to prioritize conscious choices over temporary diets. Creating a personalized goal board can help visualize progress beyond numbers, focusing on achievements like physical fitness, mental well-being, and emotional milestones. It is also crucial to find an enjoyable exercise routine that keeps you motivated. Weight lifting, for instance, should not be feared as it is often misconceived as a means to bulk up; rather, it can be an empowering way to strengthen one’s body while building confidence. Fitness activities can be widely varied – from dancing to running or biking – making it essential to explore what resonates with you. Adopting a balanced approach to weight loss, emphasizing self-acceptance and enjoyment in physical activity, can lead to sustainable lifestyle changes that foster long-term success.
