Responding to a Jehovah's Witness
Trinitarian theology started before Christianity such as Jewish Proto-Trinitarianism in the from of the Two Powers in Heaven Theology.
If Jesus is not GOD, then His death on the cross cannot save you. Only someone with infinite Life can pay for all sins. Only GOD has infinite Life.
Only GOD can forgive sins and Jesus cannot forgive sins without being GOD.
Only GOD is to be worship, yet Jesus accepted worship without rebuking anyone. If Jesus is not GOD, then He is a blasphemer.
So it is very important to salvation. Outside of the Trinitarian Truth, there is no salvation.

Engaging with Jehovah's Witnesses on the topic of Jesus' divinity can be both challenging and enlightening. From my experience, a key point to remember is that their theology often emphasizes strict monotheism, rejecting the Trinitarian concept as a later development rather than a biblical truth. It helps to explain that Trinitarian theology is not an invention of the 4th century but can trace its roots to Jewish Proto-Trinitarian ideas like the Two Powers in Heaven, which indicate a complex understanding of God's nature even before Christianity was fully formed. When discussing salvation, emphasizing that Jesus must be God to effectually pay for our sins resonates deeply. Infinite life, as God's attribute, is essential because only an infinite being can offer a sacrifice that covers all human sin. The fact that Jesus accepted worship without correction is powerful evidence supporting His divine nature, as only God is due worship. This can be an eye-opening point for those unfamiliar with early Christian beliefs. I also advise approaching such conversations with patience and respect, recognizing that theological views are often deeply held and tied to a person's identity. By presenting historical and biblical evidence calmly, one can invite thoughtful reflection rather than confrontation. Over time, this method often opens doors to more substantial discussions about faith and the nature of God beyond common misconceptions.

Nope, read the bible again.
