Cafe Journaling ☕️📓
My favorite hobby, Cafe Journaling 🤩
Not only do I love journaling in coffee shops but I LOVE having a journal just for the ones I go (last pic) and decorating it with the theme of it or just with whatever I have in hand, I usually do it with the receipts but this one didn’t print any so I got a coffee sleeve and started from there, I usually just put stickers and junk but you can also write on it about what you did and what you had 😊

There's something truly magical about combining the cozy ambiance of a coffee shop with the reflective practice of journaling. It's more than just writing; it's an experience that can spark creativity and offer a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle. For me, cafe journaling has become a cherished ritual, a dedicated time to unwind and connect with my thoughts while savoring a warm cup of coffee. Many of you might be looking to dive into this aesthetic hobby but wonder where to start. First, choosing the right spot is key! Look for a cafe that inspires you – perhaps one with natural light, comfortable seating, or a charming interior. I love finding a quiet corner where I can spread out my journaling supplies without feeling rushed. Imagine settling down at a rustic wooden table with a freshly brewed cup of latte, perhaps adorned with beautiful latte art, ready to fill your open journal with new thoughts. What to bring? Beyond your favorite journal and a trusty pen, consider a small pouch with a few essentials. Stickers, colored pens, a glue stick, and perhaps some small decorative papers can transform a blank page into a vibrant reflection of your cafe visit. Don't forget to incorporate elements from the cafe itself! As I mentioned, coffee sleeves are excellent, but you can also collect sugar packets, small napkins, or even sketch a quick coffee cup drawing of your drink. These little mementos make your journal unique and bring back memories of the moment. When it comes to what to write, the possibilities are endless. Beyond documenting what you ordered or observed, try using prompts. You could write about: Gratitude: What are you thankful for in this moment or this week? Observations: Describe the sounds, smells, and sights around you. What are people doing? What's the atmosphere like? Reflections: What's on your mind? Any new ideas, worries, or dreams? Creative Writing: Start a short story, write a poem, or simply free-write whatever comes to mind. Planning: Use the quiet time to map out your goals, to-do lists, or future adventures. I often find that the change of scenery helps me to focus and think more clearly. The soft chatter and gentle music of a coffee shop can be the perfect backdrop for introspection. Seeing my sticker-covered journal filled with handwritten entries and little bits of cafe life is incredibly satisfying. It's not about perfection; it's about capturing the essence of the moment and enjoying the process. So, grab your journaling supplies, find your favorite cafe, and start creating your own beautiful coffee shop memories!
