Morning Protein Shake 🍓🫐
saw this recipe recently and decided to give it a try, been drinking this for the past couple of days and can honestly say I love it. It’s the perfect drink for in the morning when you want to skip breakfast or don’t want nothing to heavy or after a workout and it has 23g of protein or more depending on the items you use. I’m not a breakfast person so this is the perfect replacement. My go to every morning!
Ingredients:

I totally get it – mornings can be a whirlwind, and sometimes a heavy breakfast just isn't what you need. That's exactly why I fell in love with my morning protein shake routine! It’s not just about skipping breakfast; it’s about fueling your body efficiently from the get-go. Beyond just being a quick meal replacement, a morning protein shake offers a ton of benefits I've personally experienced. For starters, that 23g of protein (or more, depending on your blend!) keeps me feeling full and satisfied until lunch. No more mid-morning hunger pangs or reaching for unhealthy snacks! It’s also fantastic for muscle recovery if you're like me and often fit in a morning workout. Getting protein in early helps my muscles repair and grow, and I've noticed a significant difference in my energy levels throughout the day. What I love most is how customizable it is. While my current favorite blend features frozen strawberries and blueberries, you can really make it your own. I usually opt for Silk almond milk for a creamy texture without too many calories, but oat or soy milk works great too. When it comes to protein powder, I’ve been using Garden of Life vanilla protein powder, and it blends beautifully with the fruit, adding a delicious underlying sweetness. If you want to boost the flavor or add a unique twist, don't underestimate the power of a tiny bit of Zero Sugar Jell-O cheesecake mix – it's a game-changer for that dessert-like taste without the guilt! Thinking about other ways to supercharge your morning shake? Here are a few things I've tried: Greens Power-Up: A handful of spinach or kale blends seamlessly into most fruit shakes, adding vitamins and minerals without altering the taste much. You won't even know it's there! Healthy Fats & Fiber: A tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flax seeds can add omega-3s and extra fiber, which helps with satiety and digestion. A spoonful of almond or peanut butter also adds healthy fats and a richer flavor. Sweetness Control: If your fruit isn't sweet enough, a touch of stevia or a small Medjool date can do the trick. I try to avoid added sugars, so natural options are my go-to. Texture Talk: For a thicker shake, add less liquid or more frozen fruit/ice. For a thinner consistency, increase your milk choice. Prep Ahead: On super busy days, I like to pre-portion my frozen fruits, protein powder, and Jell-O mix into individual bags or containers and store them in the freezer. In the morning, just dump it in the blender with your chosen liquid, and you’re good to go! Making your morning protein shake a habit is a fantastic way to prioritize your health and energy, no matter how hectic your schedule gets. Experiment with different ingredients until you find your perfect blend – it’s a delicious journey!
