TW: Chemical pregnancy
Wow! Having a chemical pregancy is sad, but very unique in my case! Here’s my story from this past week.
I started spotting pink and brown before my period started this month for several days which can be normal for me but this time I had a weird feeling because of the color. Took a pregnancy test, which had what I thought was the faintest line I’ve ever seen in my entire life but couldn’t tell. Two days later after the spotting began, I dropped a large amount of cells and I had no idea that was the baby coming out. I proceeded to start my period as normal with negative pregnancy tests, but the cycle itself was very short and light.
To my surprise, my period came back eight days later. This time it was like a normal cycle and obviously I was worried because this would’ve been my second period in one month. I went to the doctor to get some blood test and some work done and they told me that I most likely had a chemical pregnancy.
I had no idea this was even happening in my body and I have been overwhelmed this week for sure!
How can you miss someone you’ve never met?
Let’s be friends! 🫶
A chemical pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus but does not develop into a viable pregnancy, resulting in an early miscarriage typically before the fifth week of gestation. Women often experience unusual spotting or bleeding, which can lead to confusion and heartbreak. It's essential to recognize the signs and understand the emotional impact of this experience. Many women report feeling a sense of loss and confusion, particularly if they were unaware that they were pregnant. Support from peers and medical professionals can be invaluable during this time. If you're experiencing similar symptoms or feelings, know that you're not alone. Seeking medical advice and support can help you navigate this difficult journey. Remember, every individual’s experience with pregnancy and loss is unique, and sharing your story can foster connection and understanding in the community.
