From the moment we pulled up, we were completely mesmerized by the impressive exterior of the Medieval Times castle. Once past the gate, the magic continued! The interior view of the Medieval Times arena is just spectacular. And honestly, seeing all the audience members, from excited kids to adults, already wearing their paper crowns really gets you into the spirit and ready for the show. There's this fantastic buzz in the air, a mix of anticipation and excitement, and when the fog starts covering the performance area and the lights dim, you know the grand tournament is about to begin! The Dinner & Tournament itself was a solid 10/10 for us – a truly unforgettable experience. We were all on the edge of our seats, cheering loudly for our knight! The horsemanship was absolutely incredible; these majestic horses are so well-trained and graceful. Watching the knights joust and engage in sword fights right before your eyes is such a thrill. It’s not just a show; it’s an immersive, interactive experience where you feel like you’re part of the medieval saga. And the food? Delicious and plentiful! Eating with your hands, just like they did in medieval times (don't worry, they give you moist towelettes!), added to the fun. We enjoyed a hearty four-course meal, including a flavorful tomato soup, roasted chicken, corn on the cob, and a potato, plus a sweet pastry for dessert. Drinks are included, too! We loved snapping photos throughout the evening, especially in front of the beautiful medieval-style tapestry near the entrance and, of course, with our crowns on! It’s such a unique family photo op, creating memories we'll cherish. This isn't just a dinner show; it's a full evening of thrilling entertainment and family bonding. We've heard great things about other Medieval Times locations like Arundel Mills and Schaumburg, but the South Carolina castle definitely delivered an exceptional experience for our family. My top tip is to book your tickets in advance, especially during peak season, and try to arrive about an hour early. This gives you time to explore the Hall of Arms, visit the gift shop for souvenirs, and really soak in the atmosphere before being called to the arena.
