Full Body Friday: 3 Moves, Total Burn 🔥
Day 26 of the 3x3x3 Challenge
I hope everyone enjoyed your Thanksgiving with friends and family. Today I had a few lovely ladies join me and we got straight into our Full Body Friday compound work. These moves hit multiple muscle groups at once, help you burn more calories in less time, and build real strength that carries over into everyday life.
1️⃣ Goblet Squat to Overhead Press
This combo targets your quads, glutes, core, shoulders, and upper back.
The squat builds lower-body strength and stability, while the overhead press challenges your shoulders and forces your core to stay braced. Great for improving total-body power and functional strength.
2️⃣ Gorilla Rows
This wide-stance bent-over row works your lats, traps, rear delts, biceps, and core.
It improves posture, builds back strength, and teaches you how to pull with control without overusing your lower back.
3️⃣ RDL to Suitcase Squat
The RDL lights up your hamstrings, glutes, and lower back by teaching proper hip hinging.
The suitcase squat builds leg strength while challenging your core and grip since the weight is held on one side. This improves balance, stability, and real-world strength.
We’re almost done, y’all. Tomorrow we’re back at it — and then one more day to wrap up this month’s challenge strong.
For those looking to maximize workout efficiency, incorporating compound exercises like the Goblet Squat to Overhead Press, Gorilla Rows, and RDL to Suitcase Squats offers a fantastic way to engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously. These moves not only promote calorie burning but also enhance functional strength applicable to daily activities. The Goblet Squat to Overhead Press combines a lower body strengthening squat with an upper body press, engaging the quads, glutes, core, shoulders, and upper back. This move improves power and stability, making it a great all-around functional exercise. Gorilla Rows, performed with a wide-stance bent-over position, emphasize the lats, traps, rear deltoids, biceps, and core. This exercise strengthens the back and improves posture while teaching proper pulling mechanics that reduce strain on the lower back. The Romanian Deadlift (RDL) to Suitcase Squat is excellent for teaching hip hinging, which activates the hamstrings, glutes, and lower back. Transitioning into a suitcase squat, where the weight is held on one side, challenges your core stability and grip strength, boosting balance and overall functional strength. This workout format, particularly done in intervals like 30 seconds of work across 3 rounds as part of the 3x3x3 Challenge, maximizes metabolic burn and endurance without requiring excessive time. It’s perfect for busy individuals aiming for quick but effective full-body training sessions. For added benefits, these moves can be done with dumbbells, making them accessible for at-home workouts. Consistent practice will enhance muscle endurance, coordination, and real-world strength, helping users perform better in physical tasks outside the gym. Remember to focus on form and controlled movements to avoid injury and get the most out of each compound move. Incorporating these exercises regularly can lead to noticeable improvements in strength, balance, and overall fitness.
