Lucky Goodwill finds ✨
I went to drop off some belongings and saw these lucky finds at the register!
I’m in no need for foundation but I like to keep a supply for future savings 😁 I couldn’t decide on a shade because they were both a perfect match so just decided to buy them both since they were only $8!! Makeup is a huge expense for us girlies and it never hurts to splurge on a sale price.
In addition, I’ve been needing a perfect mason jar for smoothies. I’m a beverage container snob and only consume liquids from glass. I found the perfect one for the best price.
Everything was brand new ✨
Don’t be ashamed to shop at a local goodwill. You’ll be surprised by what you find and sometimes goodies are new!

Okay, so you saw my latest Goodwill haul with those amazing brand new Too Faced foundations and that perfect Ball mason jar, right? It got me thinking about what makes a 'rare goodwill find' truly special. It’s not just about the item itself, but the thrill of the hunt and knowing you scored something incredible for a fraction of the price. If you're hoping to unearth your own treasures, here are some of my go-to strategies and what I keep my eyes peeled for! First off, consistency is key. I try to pop into my local Goodwill whenever I'm in the area, not just when I need something. Stock rotates constantly, and you never know when that perfect designer bag, vintage record, or even a brand new, still-in-box kitchen gadget will show up. Different stores also have different inventories, so don't be afraid to explore a few locations if you can. When I'm browsing, I always focus on certain sections. For beauty, I'm like a hawk looking for sealed or brand new products, just like those Too Faced Comfort Matte Foundation Infused With Peach & Sweet Fig Cream bottles I found. The fact they were still in their boxes was a huge red flag (in a good way!) that they were untouched. Always check the seals and packaging – you'd be surprised what people donate! For home goods, I gravitate towards glassware and ceramics. That Ball wide-mouth mason jar with its wooden lid? A total gem! I knew immediately it was perfect for my smoothies because I'm super picky about drinking from glass. But beyond practical items, I also look for unique decorative pieces, vintage art, or even high-quality brand name kitchenware that might just need a good scrub. Sometimes, you'll find entire sets of things that were barely used. Clothing and accessories can be goldmines too. I always check for designer labels or high-quality fabrics like silk, cashmere, or genuine leather. Look for items with original tags still attached – those are the ultimate 'new with tags' rare finds! Even if it's not a designer piece, a well-made, classic item in perfect condition is always a win. Another tip: don't be afraid to research. If I see something that looks interesting but I'm not sure of its value, a quick search on my phone can often tell me if it's a hidden gem. This is especially true for electronics, collectible items, or even vintage toys. You never know when you're holding something worth significantly more than the Goodwill price tag. Ultimately, the best part about seeking out rare Goodwill finds is the surprise. It's like a treasure hunt every time! You go in with an open mind, a keen eye, and a little bit of patience, and you'll definitely increase your chances of walking out with something truly special, maybe even your own brand new Too Faced foundation or that perfect Ball jar. Happy thrifting, everyone!
