First I know live adaptions will never be the same as the original, Disney is always gonna change things. That being said this was a really good adaptation. The actress who played lilo give her all the awards she did amazing. Stitch was done very well no notes with those two. Making jumba the villain was a no no, gantu missing is a crime in itself like he needed to be in the movie! Mixed emotions about the ending. Nani has every right to go to college chase her dreams and build a better life for herself and lilo however ohana!!! Like there wasn’t colleges in Hawaii! Overall 7/10 movie

While maintaining the essence of the original work, filmmakers sometimes introduce changes that alter character dynamics. In this case, though Lilo's portrayal received praise, the omission of Gantu raised eyebrows. Notably, the emotional depth of 'ohana'—family—was questioned when college aspirations for Nani contrasted sharply with Hawaiian community values. As discussions around adaptations unfold, fans reflect on whether these changes enhance or detract from the overall story. Reviews indicate that while the film captured some of the heart of the original, certain choices left audiences with lingering questions. The juxtaposition of nostalgia and fresh perspectives creates a rich dialogue about the future of animated classics in live-action form. Film adaptations have a unique challenge: balancing respect for the source material with creative reinterpretation. Although live-action can bring new life to beloved tales, it's essential to consider what resonates with audiences. As seen in this adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, the emotional weight of 'ohana' remains crucial as we examine modern storytelling choices. While the live-action effort may invite critiques, the ongoing conversation emphasizes the love for the original while embracing the evolution of film experiences.
