Foster care awareness
In 2023, more than 390,000 children were navigating the complexities of the foster care system in the United States, with over 113,000 eligible for adoption. These children often wait nearly three years for a permanent family, highlighting the pressing need for awareness and support. Additionally, over 48,000 youth reside in institutional settings, which can hinder their emotional and educational development. While 70% of these youths aspire to pursue higher education, only a small fraction, just 6%, achieve a degree. Such statistics underscore the importance of community engagement in foster care initiatives. The emotional bonds formed, even in brief encounters, can have lasting impacts, offering lessons and love that resonate beyond the temporary nature of foster relationships. By promoting foster care awareness, we can work towards making a positive change in the lives of countless children waiting for a loving home.

I was one if those kids. Please keep sharing! These kids deserve to be acknowledged!
