Energy Management
You’re not tired because you’re lazy. You’re tired because your energy is leaking.

Feeling tired all the time can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you know you haven’t done anything physically exhausting. From my own experience, the main reason for this fatigue often comes down to unseen energy leaks. Small habits or emotional burdens like overthinking, people-pleasing, and silently carrying stress can drain your vitality throughout the day. For instance, overthinking is mentally exhausting because it keeps your brain in a constant loop of worry, preventing you from relaxing. People pleasing, while it might seem harmless, actually uses up a lot of emotional energy as you try to meet others’ expectations at the expense of your own well-being. I also found that mindlessly scrolling through social media contributes to energy loss—not just because of screen time but because it often leads to comparing yourself to others or absorbing negative news. One practical approach I adopted was becoming mindful of these “energy leaks” and setting boundaries. This could be saying no to requests that are too demanding or limiting daily social media time. Additionally, opening up to someone you trust instead of carrying stress silently made a significant difference in regaining my energy. Recognizing these patterns is the first step toward effective energy management. If you can relate to these feelings, try journaling what activities or thoughts drain you most during the day. This awareness can help you take control and find personalized strategies to plug those energy leaks. Remember, it’s not about laziness; it’s about protecting your energy so you can be your best self.
