How I lost nearly 50lbs

To start off, this was not an easy process and took a lot of hard work and discipline! It also did not happen overnight, I lost nearly 50lbs over the course of one year!

How I did it:

1. I completely changed the way I ate!

a) I eliminated gluten from my diet and immediately realized how inflammatory it was for me. I did get tested for an allergy to gluten, but it was negative, so now I consider myself just very sensitive to it.

b) I eliminated most added sugar and only ate natural sugars that are found in fruit! This was huge because my craving for sugars completely went away. I still watch my sugar intake to this day.

c) I ate little carbs (about 45-60g) a day. I did not do a full on “Keto” diet as I am allergic to dairy and most keto diets involve eating a lot of dairy.

2. I found a personal trainer!

a) this was huge for me as I wasn’t comfortable in the gym and needed someone to walk me through how to build a good workout

This may not work for everyone, but I found this was the best way for me to lose weight! Just remember to not give up and if you set your mind to it, you can do it!
