TOY ROTATION
This was last weeks toy rotation for my 2 year old! It included lot of Melissa and Doug. When I find great toys that don’t include batteries or sounds, that is such a huge win! This week was a huge hit. He played with every single toy, but especially the Dino flower garden, Melissa and Doug pop it cards, and the Learning Respources picnic baskets!

When it comes to toddler play, choosing the right toys can significantly impact their development. Engaging toys can help stimulate creativity, learning, and social skills. Melissa and Doug offer a wide array of toys specifically designed for young children, emphasizing open-ended play that encourages imagination. One of the key benefits of rotating toys is that it keeps playtime fresh and exciting. Toys that are not used frequently seem novel when reintroduced, which can foster interest and engagement. Battery-free toys are particularly advantageous as they motivate children to use their imagination rather than rely on electronic features. For example, toys like the Dino flower garden and picnic baskets from Learning Resources encourage pretend play and role-playing activities. Consider incorporating different types of toys into your rotation, including puzzles, art supplies, and building blocks, to enhance various skills like problem-solving and fine motor abilities. Observe what your child enjoys most and adapt the toy rotation to include more of those types of toys. Additionally, discussing toy choices with your toddler can also help them feel involved and excited about what they get to play with. Sharing ideas and recommendations with other parents can lead to discovering even more great toys. What’s in your toy rotation this week? Share your thoughts and let’s create a community of play ideas!
