Be Brand New
At a certain point you have to choose what’s best for you. People are going to say, think, and feel however, they want to, but at the end of the day your happiness is your responsibility and yours alone.
The whole point of life is growing, changing, and evolving. Every experience challenges a new area of growth towards your highest potential. You don’t have to be the same person from a 5 years ago, a year ago, or hell even yesterday.
Your past is a beautiful compilation of trial and errors that shape you into who you’re meant to be, but it is not your destiny. And ironically your biggest dream for your life belongs to a version of you that you haven’t even met yet.
One of the hardest yet most rewarding decisions in life is choosing to embrace change despite the fear of how others might perceive you. I once faced the dilemma of staying within the comfort of who people expected me to be or stepping into the unknown to pursue my own happiness. The quote, “I'm scared to change, people have always known me this way. They're gonna think I'm fake,” deeply resonates with many of us because we often worry about judgment or losing our identity. However, I learned that true happiness comes from owning the responsibility for our own growth and not letting others’ opinions limit us. Every experience, including mistakes and challenges, contributes to personal evolution. It's freeing to realize that who you were yesterday doesn't dictate who you have to be tomorrow. Your past is valuable for the lessons it provides, but it doesn’t define your destiny. Instead, envision the version of yourself you haven't met yet—someone with new dreams, confidence, and courage. Taking gradual steps toward positive change, such as adopting a new habit or embracing a new mindset, has allowed me to grow into a better version of myself over time. While change can be scary, it leads to growth, fulfillment, and a life aligned with your highest potential. Remember, your biggest dreams belong to that future self you’re becoming. Prioritize your happiness by being brave enough to evolve and become brand new every day.
