Choosing a Keyboard Size ⌨️
In the beginning of my keyboard collecting journey, I preferred a 60% keyboard layout due to its minimalistic design, compact size, and (more often) convenient lightweight design.
But, I find larger keyboard sizes from 75% and higher to be the most best option due to its access to all the necessary keys from the function row to the number pad and even the singular delete key.
Why purchase a 60%/small keyboard?
- space saving, perfect for smaller desk spaces
- usually more lightweight for traveling
- easier to store
- good for gaming
Why purchase a full-size/larger keyboard?
- easy access to all keys
- possibly more features like a volume knob
- quick data entry for office work
- macro keys and control buttons for gaming
