Still trying to figure out what works best with my skin. I’m honestly so happy with my results so far! I love tips and recommendations, so if anyone struggles with hormonal acne and has discovered any secrets, please let me know!

Navigating hormonal acne can be quite challenging, but having a consistent skincare routine tailored to your needs makes a remarkable difference. From my experience, using gentle cleansers like Cetaphil both morning and night helps prevent irritation while keeping the skin clean without stripping essential moisture. Incorporating active ingredients such as clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide gels in the morning can effectively target acne-causing bacteria and inflammation. Adding serums enriched with vitamins B3 (niacinamide) and B5 enhances skin hydration, reduces redness, and supports barrier repair. Mela B3 serums, often recommended by dermatologists, can also aid in evening out skin tone and fading post-acne marks. For sun protection, a tinted mineral sunscreen not only shields the skin from harmful UV rays but also offers a natural look without clogging pores. At night, switching to a restorative cleanser like CeraVe or La Roche-Posay complements skin recovery while applying retinoids such as tretinoin (0.05%) accelerates cell turnover, combating breakouts and signs of aging. To soothe dryness and aid healing, balms like Cicalfate+ or Cicaplast B5 provide a protective and calming layer. Medications like spironolactone, used as needed, can further regulate hormonal influences on acne.
