How to reverse the new SS updateOn iOS
When I downloaded the new iOS update, last week, I hated the new update to the screen shots! I had to choose what to do after I took a SS and it was so inconvenient, tbh! Then, I was today years old when I found the setting to reverse this annoyance and I’m ready to show you!
Okay, so we all know how annoying that new iOS screenshot update can be, right? For me, having to choose what to do after every single screenshot was just slowing me down, especially when I needed to snap a bunch quickly. It felt like my phone was trying to be too helpful! But while getting rid of those persistent full-screen previews is a game-changer for speed, there's so much more you can do with screenshots on your iPhone to make your life easier and keep things organized. Even after you've tweaked your settings to disable those pop-ups (yay for getting rid of the annoyance!), you still have access to some incredibly handy editing and management features. For instance, tapping the thumbnail that briefly appears in the corner (before it disappears if you've turned off the full-screen preview) lets you jump straight into quick edits. I seriously love using the markup tools – whether it's drawing an arrow to highlight something important, scribbling out sensitive information, or adding a quick text note, it’s all there. And cropping? Essential for making sure your screenshot shows exactly what you want, without any extra clutter. Beyond basic edits, do you ever think about where your screenshots actually go? By default, they land right in your Camera Roll within the Photos app, which can get crowded fast! But here’s a tip: when you take a screenshot, instead of just letting it save, tap that small preview thumbnail. You'll see options to share it directly via Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or even save it to your Files app. My personal favorite for quick sharing is the 'Copy & Delete' option. This means the screenshot is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into any app, and then it's immediately deleted from your phone – perfect for those one-off shares you don't need cluttering your photo library forever. And let's talk about power-user screenshot tricks! Have you ever needed to capture an entire webpage that scrolls beyond your screen? In Safari, just take a regular screenshot, then tap the preview thumbnail. At the top, you'll see a 'Full Page' option. Tap that, and boom! Your iPhone saves the entire webpage as a scrollable PDF, which is incredibly useful for reports, recipes, or saving articles. Another mind-blowing feature is Live Text. If you take a screenshot of anything with text in it – a sign, a document, a handwritten note – you can tap and hold on the text within the screenshot to select, copy, or even translate it. I use this constantly for quick notes or extracting info without retyping. To keep my Photos app from becoming a screenshot graveyard, I often create dedicated albums. If I’m working on a project, I’ll snap my screenshots and then, from the preview thumbnail, I can choose to add them directly to a specific album. It’s a small step that makes a huge difference later when I’m trying to find something specific. So, while reversing that immediate full-screen preview is a major win for workflow, remember to dive into these other settings and features. Your iPhone is packed with them, and a little exploration can really optimize how you use your device every day!
