TIPS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLERS COMING FROM A FRESHMAN! 🐞
I HOPE THIS HELPS! 🫶
Starting high school can feel overwhelming, especially when transitioning from middle school. From my own experience as a freshman, one of the best tips I can share is to prioritize studying early. Developing good study habits like using note-taking techniques found on platforms such as Pinterest or Lemon8 can really make a difference. If reading textbooks feels tough, try audio books—they’re a helpful alternative that can keep you engaged without the struggle of reading. Another practical idea is to always have an emergency kit with you. Mine includes essentials like lip therapy, Vaseline, bandages, hand lotion, mini deodorant, and hand sanitizer. Having these on hand helped me feel prepared and less stressed during the day. Socially, don’t be afraid to reach out and talk to your classmates. Making friends is one of the most rewarding parts of school life, and having someone to share your thoughts with can make a huge difference. Also, being kind to your teachers and classmates creates a positive school environment. Teachers are there to help, so building a good rapport with them can support your academic progress. Lastly, remember to have fun and enjoy your time at school. Participating in clubs and school activities enriches your experience beyond the classroom. Keeping a balance between work and leisure helped me manage stress and made school more enjoyable overall. These small but impactful strategies can pave the way for a smooth transition into high school life while fostering growth both academically and personally.
