📍 How to get here: Take the MRT to King Albert Park (DT6). From Exit B, it's about a 5–10 minute walk to the Rail Corridor (Bukit Timah).
It's not difficult to get to and the walk from the Truss Bridge area towards Tanjong Pagar is completely flat.

Having visited the Rail Corridor myself, I can truly say it’s a fantastic spot for both photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. The path from King Albert Park MRT to the Truss Bridge area is stroller-friendly and ideal for a leisurely stroll or photoshoot without worrying about difficult terrain. One thing I appreciated was the smooth pavement along the way, which made setting up and moving around with camera gear hassle-free. Early mornings or late afternoons are the best times to shoot because the lighting is soft and flattering, enhancing the natural green backdrop and old railway vibe. Don’t underestimate the importance of mosquito repellant here, especially if you plan to stay around sunset. The corridor is a lush green stretch which does attract mosquitoes. Also, carrying a refillable water bottle is invaluable since there are only a few drink stalls, and staying hydrated is key during warmer months. For those interested in urban nature photography, the mix of natural greenery with remnants of the historic railway offers unique compositions. I tried shooting with my smartphone camera as well as a DSLR, and both worked well, especially with natural light. The recently introduced Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra also captures vibrant and sharp images, making it a good device for casual photographers. Lastly, don’t forget to check the weather forecast. A small umbrella or raincoat can be a lifesaver as tropical showers can be sudden. Wearing comfortable shoes and sun protection rounds out the essentials for a great visit to this unique green corridor in the heart of the city.
