Journals Should ALWAYS Have A Welcome Page✨

I believe that whenever you start a new journal the first page you should decorate/make/do is your welcome page.

A welcome page can be anything or have anything on it BUT it sets the tone for your journal. It’s the first page you’ll see most of the time so it’s important to make it your own and make it special to you.

I currently have three journals, each with a different purpose. My welcome pages, in my opinion, reflect what I use each journal for.

~ The blue one is for scrapbooking/junk journaling whatever my heart desires so my welcome page is a ME page.

~ The purple one is for my therapy sessions/group sessions and what we discuss. So, my welcome page is filled with inspiring statements and coffee because I drink caffeine during my sessions.

~The colorful one is for my deep thoughts/feelings where I write down pages at a time. So I made the welcome page a junk journal spread about everything that I like.

... Read moreWelcome pages are essential for setting a personal tone in your journals. They serve as a canvas for creativity, inviting you to express your thoughts and feelings from the moment you open the journal. Each journal has a distinct purpose, whether it’s for scrapbooking, therapy, or personal reflection. In our fast-paced lives, journaling provides a sanctuary for introspection and self-expression. When designing your welcome page, consider incorporating elements that resonate with you, like quotes, images, or themes that inspire positivity. For instance, if you're using your journal for therapy, fill the page with inspiring statements that motivate you and remind you of your journey. A splash of color or a favorite design can also make the page feel more inviting. As you craft your welcome page, think about what activities or memories you'll be documenting in your journal. This adds a layer of connection to the page and encourages consistent journaling habits. By creating a welcoming atmosphere, you can foster a deeper relationship with your journaling practice. Incorporate hashtags like #journalideas, #decoratemyjournal, and #journalingforbeginners into your online posts to share your creations and find inspiration from others in the community. Remember, your welcome page is a reflection of you—make it uniquely yours and let it guide you through your journaling experience.
