Hot Take, but I think pageants are still relevant and help women find their voice and give them a platform to show that you can be mulitifacted and successful.
I loved seeing the diversity in women and love that there is more representation and inclusivity than in the days when I competed. I could have never dreamed of being Miss NC because I was told I wasn’t “built” for it, aka would have to drop 40lbs.
