... Read moreI absolutely adore seeing everyone's junk journal updates, and it got me thinking about how we can really lean into specific themes that spark joy! Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz around Starbucks-themed junk journals, and honestly, what's not to love? It's such a fun way to capture those cozy coffee shop vibes and turn everyday ephemera into beautiful memories. If you're looking to start a themed journal, or just want to add some coffee flair to your existing spreads, here are some ideas I’ve been brewing! First off, let's talk about collecting. Just like I love collecting all sorts of stickers, a Starbucks junk journal is perfect for gathering little bits and pieces from your coffee runs. Think about those iconic cup sleeves – they’re perfect for cutting up and using as unique backgrounds or accents. Even the napkins, receipts, or sugar packets can add a touch of authenticity. Don't forget to grab a few extra if you're planning on really diving in! You can even print out some vintage-style coffee ads or Starbucks logos you find online to give your pages a nostalgic feel. When it comes to stickers, the possibilities are endless! Look for stickers of coffee cups, steaming mugs, coffee beans, or even cute pastries. If you can't find specific Starbucks stickers, any green, brown, and white themed ones will work perfectly. I've even seen people use small cut-outs from food packaging that resemble coffee-related items. Remember those fish stickers or the hamster from some of my recent pages? You can totally adapt that idea with coffee-themed characters or illustrations! Now, for the actual journaling. This is where your junk journal truly becomes a personal reflection. You could create a 'Things I Love' mind map, but instead of general items, focus on your favorite Starbucks drinks, seasonal specials, or even the feeling of sitting in a café. Another idea is to use some affirmations like 'I am stable' or 'I am loved' and frame them around a cozy coffee scene. For example, 'I am calm with my coffee.' It’s a wonderful way to combine the grounding aspect of journaling with your love for coffee. You can dedicate pages to specific coffee dates with friends or even use it as a space to jot down your 'To Do' list while sipping on your favorite latte. The abstract doodles I sometimes add could become coffee rings or swirling steam patterns. And don't forget to incorporate photos of your favorite drinks or café moments! Ultimately, a Starbucks junk journal is about celebrating those small, comforting moments. It’s a creative outlet that allows you to express your love for coffee in a tangible and beautiful way, much like my journal helps me process my thoughts. So, grab your next coffee, save that cup sleeve, and start creating something truly unique and personal. Happy journaling!
