My honest review of the 22” Blackstone!

I got the smaller 22” Blackstone gas griddle to try out this spring and summer! As far as setting it up-it was a little tricky by myself but I did get it done! It would be easier with two people for sure. If you get a bigger one you will probably need a hand! Instructions were easy to read. As for the seasoning, this was my favorite part! I enjoyed sitting outside and getting it ready ☀️ Try this method for seasoning yours! I am very pleased with the results! I’ve cooked on this grill ever day since I got it! I highly recommend! Perfect for just two people or a small family. Price was $154 at Lowe’s on a Christmas promo 😄 They will have sales for Father’s Day so keep a look out! #blackstone #blackstoneseasoning #lemon8review #grillingseason #lemon8contest

... Read moreGetting a new Blackstone griddle is exhilarating, and while the initial setup and seasoning are crucial, there's so much more to explore! Many of you might be wondering about the best Blackstone grill for your needs, or what to cook first after achieving that perfect seasoned griddle. First off, let's talk about Blackstone sizes, because my 22-inch griddle might not be the ideal fit for everyone, though it's perfect for my small family. Beyond the popular 22" model, you'll find the compact 17" griddle, which is fantastic for camping, tailgating, or if you have very limited space. Then there are the larger 28" and 36" griddles, which are powerhouses for entertaining larger crowds, big family meals, or even catering. When considering Blackstone grill dimensions, think about your available patio space and how many people you typically cook for. My 22" version strikes a great balance, offering enough cooking surface without being overly bulky. Now, once you've gone through the important process of how to season a Blackstone griddle for the first time – and trust me, using a high smoke point oil like avocado oil and repeating those coats until it's dark and nonstick is key – you'll be eager to start cooking! For beginners, I highly recommend starting with simple yet satisfying meals. After my seasoning efforts, I cooked a whole pack of bacon, which not only tasted amazing but also further enhanced the nonstick surface. Other great ideas for blackstone griddle recipes for beginners include classic breakfast items like pancakes and eggs, or easy smash burgers for dinner. The key is to get comfortable with the heat zones and how the griddle cooks. Another common question is about propane for Blackstone griddles. Most Blackstone models run on standard 1lb propane canisters (for smaller units like the 17" and 22" without an adapter) or 20lb propane tanks for longer cooking sessions or larger griddles. Understanding your blackstone propane setup is important for uninterrupted cooking fun. Always ensure proper ventilation and check your connections for leaks before igniting. Having cooked on my seasoned Blackstone every day since I got it, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for outdoor cooking. From simple meals to more elaborate spreads, the versatility of the griddle surface, especially after proper initial seasoning, makes it incredibly enjoyable to use. Happy griddling!
