Lesson from church service this morning!!

Spent some time in Exodus 14 and then in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 and 2 Corinthians chapter 6 verse seventeen. Staying stuck will lead to you becoming STAGNANT.

📖 Stagnant: “(of a body of water or the atmosphere of a confined space) having no current or flow and often having an unpleasant smell as a consequence” (Oxford Dictionary).

Staying stuck and living in fear/hate/unforgiveness will put of a “smell” that smells GREAT to then enemy. Like how sharks can smell blood in the water. 🦈 🦈

We’re the steward of our own souls and emotions. We should be POURING into people and let JESUS pour into us (not running to worldly things to seek comfort/sustainability)

That feeling of stagnation can be truly draining, and it often stems from fear or holding onto things like unforgiveness, just as my recent church lesson highlighted. But what does it really mean to be 'steadfast' when everything feels uncertain? For me, a huge 'steadfast example' comes straight from the Bible: Moses in Exodus 14. Imagine being trapped between the Red Sea and an approaching army, with an entire nation looking to you for deliverance. Talk about pressure! Moses didn't have all the answers, but he remained steadfast in his faith, trusting God's plan. He identified the change needed – moving forward, not giving up. He removed the obstacle of doubt by turning to God. And then, he performed the plan God laid out, leading to one of the most incredible miracles. This story isn't just ancient history; it's a powerful blueprint for us today. My personal 'Blueprint For Change' often involves looking at what truly keeps me from moving forward. Is it fear of the unknown? A lingering resentment? Just like the graphic I saw, the first step is always 'identifying change' – recognizing where you're stagnant. Then comes 'removing obstacles.' For me, this often means confronting those difficult emotions through prayer and honest reflection. It’s not easy, but letting go of fear or unforgiveness frees up so much spiritual space. 'Focusing on training' is where the rubber meets the road. For me, this looks like consistent Bible study, quiet time in prayer, and surrounding myself with people who uplift my spirit. It’s about letting Jesus truly pour into me, rather than trying to fill that void with fleeting worldly comforts. This 'training' builds the spiritual muscle needed for 'remaining steadfast in faith.' It's not a one-time decision; it's a daily commitment to lean on that divine strength. Finally, 'performing the plan' is about taking those small, consistent steps. Maybe it's forgiving someone, speaking up for what's right, or simply choosing hope over despair each morning. The journey to change and steadfastness isn't always glamorous, but it's incredibly rewarding. I've found that when I commit to this blueprint, even on days I feel weak, I can experience true transformation and avoid that stagnant feeling. It's a journey, not a destination, but knowing I have a blueprint and a powerful example like Moses keeps me going!
