EASY READ ROMANCE BOOKS

Spring and summer are on their wayyyyyy & I get in such a romance mood during this time of year! These books are perfect for a pool or beach day - where you don’t have to think too much about what you’re reading, but you’re still enjoying it!

🩷 Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

So far, I haven’t met an Ali Hazelwood book that I didn’t like. Although the “STEM” part may scare you away, don’t let it!!! Her characters are quirky and the romance always takes me by surprise with how obsessed I am

🩷 When in Rome by Sarah Adams

This one is superrrrrrr short so good for a beach day! Although this romance wasn’t life-changing, I really enjoyed the small town vibes and found family aspect!

🩷 Float by Kate Marchant

If you’re looking for a cute teenage YA summer romance, pick this one up! Although this felt a little too immature for me at times, it was still super fun to see Waverly come out of her shell & find a summer love story ◡̈

🩷 Love On the Brain by Ali Hazelwood

Like I said, Ali Hazelwood is just too perfect of an author to not include her again 🤭 I liked this one even better than Love, Theoretically just bc I loved the “enemies” aspect

Plan on picking any of these up this season?! Let me know in the comments 👇🏼

... Read moreFinding that perfect, effortless read can truly elevate a season, especially when warmer weather calls for lighter stories. I've often found myself searching for books that don't demand too much brainpower but still deliver all the feels – those 'easy read' romance novels that are just pure joy. But what exactly makes a romance novel an 'easy read,' and how do you spot them amongst the endless options? For me, an easy-read romance is all about accessibility. It typically features a straightforward plot, engaging characters you instantly connect with, and a narrative style that flows effortlessly. These books are often shorter, making them perfect for devouring in a single afternoon by the pool or during a quick getaway. They prioritize charm, humor, and heartfelt moments over complex subplots or intense emotional turmoil. Think of them as your literary comfort food! One of the most exciting trends I've noticed in easy-read romance is the rise of STEM romance novels. These stories often feature brilliant scientists, engineers, or mathematicians finding love, proving that intelligence is incredibly attractive! I love how they often blend intellectual banter with undeniable chemistry. Whether it's a story about a brilliant scientist navigating romance with a colleague or someone working at an organization like NASA finding love with their rival, these books offer a refreshing take on common tropes. The covers often hint at this with subtle scientific or academic motifs, making them instantly recognizable for fans of the genre. Then there are the delightful small-town romances. There's something incredibly comforting about stories set in close-knit communities where everyone knows everyone, and love often blossoms in unexpected places. These often give you that 'found family' feeling and are fantastic for escaping into a cozy world. Imagine a pop star finding love in a charming, quiet town – it’s just the kind of heartwarming escape I crave! And let's not forget about Wattpad cute stories and YA summer romances! If you're looking for that innocent, butterflies-in-your-stomach kind of love, these are often the go-to. They capture the excitement and awkwardness of first loves, often against the backdrop of sun-drenched summers or new beginnings. I've found some of my most cherished lighthearted reads from stories that started on platforms like Wattpad, often featuring characters like Waverly finding summer love. They are truly the epitome of a feel-good, no-stress read. When you're browsing for your next short romance book recommendation, look for blurbs that promise humor, low-angst, and quick pacing. Often, debut authors or indie publishers excel at these concise yet impactful love stories. Don't be afraid to pick up a book based on a captivating cover; sometimes, the visual aesthetic perfectly matches the light and fun tone within. Ultimately, the goal is to find a book that makes you smile, sigh, and feel utterly charmed without having to overthink. Happy reading, and I hope you find your perfect easy-read escape!
