Super GreensDUPE
Homemade Panda greens but made even better! they're so good and easy to make!
Recipe:
-A couple TBS of butter
-Red pepper flakes
-A few splashes of soy sauce and sesame oil
-A glob or two of garlic (or as much as your ❤️ desires)
Add broccoli first, it takes the longest. Then add a ton of kale and cabbage (it cooks down a lot)
Cover, stir occasionally and cook for 5-10 minutes.
I like too add more garlic powder and onion powder but that's optional.
Super greens blends typically combine nutrient-dense leafy greens like kale, spinach, and cabbage with other vegetables to create a powerful, antioxidant-rich dish. This homemade Super Greens dupe replicates those health benefits using fresh broccoli, kale, and cabbage, which are all rich sources of vitamins A, C, K, and minerals such as calcium and iron. Broccoli, the base of this recipe, is especially high in fiber and sulforaphane, a compound linked to cancer prevention. Kale provides a heavy dose of antioxidants and supports heart health due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Cabbage adds crunch and vitamin C, boosting immunity. The use of garlic not only enhances flavor but also offers immune-boosting allicin compounds. Adding red pepper flakes introduces capsaicin, known for metabolism-boosting effects. Sesame oil contributes healthy fats and a rich, nutty taste, while soy sauce adds umami with a hint of saltiness; choose low-sodium versions to keep it heart-healthy. This cooking method—starting with broccoli, then adding kale and cabbage, and covering the pan to steam—helps retain texture and nutrients. Stirring occasionally ensures even cooking without burning garlic or spices. For versatility, this recipe can be customized by adding other vegetables like spinach or swiss chard, and by incorporating spices such as onion powder or nutritional yeast for extra flavor and nutrients. It's an ideal quick, nutritious side dish or a base for bowls with grains and protein. Overall, this Super Greens dupe provides a cost-effective, easy way to enjoy vibrant, healthy greens with delicious Asian-inspired seasonings, suitable for everyday cooking and promoting long-term wellness.
