My honest opinion for Rise Bakehouse..
Rise Bakehouse @ TripleOne Somerset
my friend and i finally queued for this trending flowery cafe in Somerset 111 and yep, we waited about 30 minutes before getting a table (totally packed on a weekend).
🍽 what we ordered:
• Mushroom Soup -$10.90
• Waffles with Soy Garlic Chicken –$18.90
• Truffle Tater Toes –$13.90
• Scallop Rose Rigatoni –$23.90
• Strawberry Watermelon Spritz –$8
• Smoked Applewood Iced Tea –$8
total came to $90+ for two of us, which already felt on the pricier side for casual cafe brunch vibes. 💸
✨ Ambience & Service
the interiors are pretty, lots of light, flower accents, and pastel tones. it’s perfect for photos. But honestly, our experience was dampened before we even touched the food.
when we were seated right next to the drink counter/barista station, there was always staff bustling in and out, which made the space feel a bit chaotic and uncomfortable instead of relaxed. [we were the unlucky, but i guess got a table better than none] 🤝🏻
the service was also a miss. we asked for a plastic/takeaway bag because our own bag broke, and instead of just assisting us, the barista XY, asked “for what?” in a tone that came off quite unfriendly, especially after we spent $90+ dining there. & despite seeing a bunch of bags behind the bar, we were still left without one. 😕 it felt unnecessary for staff to question a simple request, i don’t think we owed an explanation for asking.
having both worked in the cafes & restaurants before, we truly value good service and always strive to treat customers with care and respect. that’s probably why being questioned or spoken to in that manner didn’t sit well with us. these are simply our personal thoughts based on our experience, no judgment intended, just honest feedback ya.
🍴 Food Review
when the food finally arrived, our mood wasn’t at its best, which affected our overall experience. while the dishes tasted fine, they didn’t quite live up to the hype or pricing compared to other brunch places we enjoy. It could be more popular for its desserts though, something we missed out on as we were already full.
overall, just not mind-blowing. nice aesthetics, decent taste, but a bit overrated considering the price point and the service experience.
💭 Final Thoughts
✨ Looks: 9/10 - pretty for pics
😐 Service: 3/10 - could be friendlier
👌 Food: 5/10 - okay but not exceptional
💸 Value: 4/10 - felt pricey for what we got
would I recommend? sure, if you’re there mainly for the vibes and photos. but if you’re looking for excellent food and service, this probably isn’t the best brunch choice.
