One of the ironies of this post is that in the weeks before my MS diagnosis in 2012, I had been accepted into a Master’s in Educational Technology at a college in Middle TN. After trying a few days/ weeks of class with MS, I had to withdraw. So here I am now, trying to do this for education without formal training.
My website is www.the-bilingual-highlander.com. I started it over a year ago hoping to support my translation business.
Well…. everyone wants a volunteer. I should say, most people, not all. Having the website HAS supported some of my endeavors and sealed a few deals for me I believe.
I know I need to replace the current header on the website with a logo I created on Canva.
I have created a preliminary YouTube account, but I just have the name & account.

As you embark on your journey of teaching English and Spanish, you may consider utilizing various platforms to showcase your knowledge and engage with a broader audience. While a neglected Blogger account may seem like a limitation, it can actually serve as an additional outlet for your content, supporting your YouTube channel and translation services.
By linking these platforms, you can create a cohesive experience for your audience, offering them diverse content formats. For instance, consider sharing lesson plans, cultural insights, and educational resources on Blogger that complement your YouTube videos. Additionally, educational technology tools like Canva can help you design visually appealing graphics and headers that enhance your blog and website appeal.
Your potential audience—teachers, Latinos, and Americans—are seeking authentic, relatable content. Engage with them through storytelling, sharing personal experiences, and inviting them to participate in discussions. This community-focused approach not only builds trust but also enriches the learning experience. Remember, consistency in posting and cross-promoting your content can significantly enhance your visibility and audience engagement. Utilize SEO best practices by incorporating keywords related to bilingual education, translation services, and content creation in both your blog and video descriptions for better search performance.
Ultimately, the fusion of your educational background, personal journey, and digital platforms can inspire others while creating a supportive online environment.
