Cluster lashes
I used to spend a fortune at the salon, but then I discovered the magic of DIY cluster lashes! Seriously, the benefits are incredible. Not only do they save you a ton of money, but you can also customize them to exactly the look you want, whether it's a subtle enhancement or full-on glam. Plus, I find them much gentler on my natural lashes compared to strip lashes, and way faster than applying individual ones. It’s a total game-changer for getting that professional lash look at home, making beautiful eyes accessible to everyone. If you’re looking for a cost-effective and flexible way to elevate your lash game, cluster lashes are definitely worth exploring. So, you’ve got your KEYYOU DIY Lash Extension kit – awesome! Before diving in, proper prep is key for long-lasting results. First, make sure your eyes are squeaky clean. I always use an oil-free cleanser to remove any makeup, residue, or natural oils. This step is super important because it helps the lash adhesive bond properly and prevents premature lifting. After cleansing, gently pat your eyelids dry. Some kits come with a primer, which I highly recommend using to create an even better surface for adhesion. Gather all your tools: the cluster lashes, adhesive, applicator tool or tweezers, and a spoolie brush. Having everything laid out and ready makes the application process so much smoother and less stressful. Now, let's talk about the 'lash map' – this is where you customize your look! For a natural, cat-eye effect, I usually start with shorter clusters (8-10mm) in the inner corner and gradually use 'Longer lashes on the end' of my eye (12-14mm). This creates a beautiful lift and elongated appearance. If you prefer a more open, doll-eye look, you'd place the longest clusters in the middle of your lash line. Experiment with different lengths and styles to see what suits your eye shape best. When applying, a tiny dab of adhesive on the base of the cluster is all you need. I then gently place the cluster onto the underside of my natural lashes, just above the waterline, using angled tweezers. Avoid applying directly to your skin. Hold for a few seconds until it feels secure. Remember, practice makes perfect! To get that truly 'professional' finish, I have a few tricks for how to apply cluster lashes professionally. After applying all the clusters, gently press them together with your natural lashes using the flat side of your tweezers. This helps them blend seamlessly and look more natural. A light coat of a lash sealer (if your KEYYOU kit includes one, or if you buy separately) can also extend wear time and protect the bond from moisture and oils. Avoid getting your lashes wet for at least 12-24 hours after application to allow the adhesive to fully cure. When it's time to remove them, always use an oil-based remover specifically designed for lash extensions. Gently dab it onto the lash line and let it sit for a minute before delicately sliding the clusters off. Never pull or tug, as this can damage your natural lashes. With proper care, your DIY cluster lashes can last for days, giving you beautiful, salon-quality results right from home.
