Why is it cold !?
Oh I’m actually SICK of this weather… like excuse me??? It’s MAY. M A Y. As in I should be outside pretending I have my life together, not fighting for my life in a hoodie like it’s a random Tuesday in 🙄
Why am I checking the forecast like it personally betrayed me?? One day it’s “sun’s out, thighs out” and the next day it’s “congratulations, you live inside a refrigerated salad drawer.”
At this point I don’t even trust stepping outside. I gotta dress in LAYERS like I’m about to survive all four seasons in one emotional breakdown.
And don’t even get me started on the audacity… I already packed away my winter personality. She was retired. DONE. Why is she being resurrected like a low-budget horror movie??
If I wake up and see my breath tomorrow, I’m calling the authorities because this is no longer weather… this is harassment. 😒
Spring weather can be so unpredictable, and it feels like many of us have experienced sudden temperature drops just when we thought warmer days were here to stay. I’ve found myself constantly checking the forecast, half-standing in my closet wondering if a hoodie will be enough or if I need to bring my winter coat back out. Dressing in layers has become my saving grace — it’s the only way to stay comfortable when the weather can switch from sunny and warm to cold and windy within hours. One thing I’ve learned is that May weather swings often happen due to lingering cold fronts or shifts in air pressure, especially in regions with variable climates. Even though it’s technically spring, the atmosphere can trick us by bringing back those unexpected cold snaps that make you feel like you’re living in a refrigerated salad drawer! Personally, I try to embrace this quirky part of spring. I keep a light jacket and a scarf handy, even when the sun’s out. This allows me to enjoy outdoor activities without feeling uncomfortably cold. It's also handy to pack an extra layer if you’re going out for the day. And yes, it’s frustrating when you’ve stored away your “winter personality” only to have it resurrected by a chill in the air, but taking a practical approach helps keep the mood light. If mornings are still biting chilly, I sometimes turn to enjoying warm drinks or doing quick indoor stretches to warm up. This little ritual makes braving the cold more bearable and even a bit cozy. So if you’re struggling with the erratic cold weather in May, you’re not alone. Dressing smart, keeping an eye on the forecast, and having a flexible mindset are key to managing those surprise cold days without the frustration feeling overwhelming.
