Quitting to Become the Author I Dreamed Of ✍🏾
I published my first novel Betrayed Too Many Times in January and while trying to finish the sequel, I realized my job was draining all the energy I needed for the things I actually care about.
So I quit.
Now I’m learning how to build a life around writing, content creation, entrepreneurship, and creativity instead of settling for survival mode. It’s scary but also the most aligned I’ve felt in a long time ✍🏽✨
Watch me build the life I’ve always dreamed about.

Quitting a traditional job to pursue a dream can feel daunting, but it’s often the necessary step toward true fulfillment. From my own experience, I can share that the moment I decided to leave my 8-5 position marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Initially, the fear of financial instability and uncertainty weighed heavily on me, yet the desire to invest energy into the things I truly care about — like writing and content creation — pushed me forward. Building a creative and entrepreneurial lifestyle demands discipline, resilience, and a strong belief in your work. One important realization was asking myself, "How much do I believe in my writing?" This question helped me focus on what drives me and reinforced my commitment. Embracing this mindset allowed me to shift away from simply surviving to thriving in my chosen path. Along the way, I dedicated time to developing not only my novels but also my personal brand and creative outlets. Balancing writing with entrepreneurship can be challenging, but it opens opportunities to generate income while doing what you love. Whether it’s through book sales, content creation, or other ventures, building multiple streams related to your passion can support a sustainable lifestyle. Most importantly, I learned to embrace the scary moments as part of growth. Aligning my daily life with my purpose led me to a more authentic and satisfying existence. If you’re considering a similar leap, remember that it’s okay to start small, stay consistent, and believe deeply in your creative vision. Taking that step to quit a draining job might just be the key to building the life you’ve always dreamed about.

Not gonna lie… this is the scariest thing I’ve ever done 😭 but I’d rather chase my dream fully than spend my life wondering ‘what if?’ ✍🏽✨
