Yesterday was surgery day! What a loooooong day, but we got out the uterus. It’s off to get that biopsy. Your girl is sore and tired!
Having just undergone uterus removal surgery, I can personally attest to how physically draining and emotionally challenging the experience can be. The day of surgery feels incredibly long—you have to prepare yourself mentally and physically, stay patient during the waiting times such as prepping and anesthesia, and then endure the soreness and fatigue afterward. One thing I found helpful was focusing on small moments of rest and comfort once back home. Simply relaxing and letting your body recover makes a huge difference. The biopsy taken during surgery is critical for diagnosing or confirming cancer types, like non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and waiting for results can feel nerve-wracking but it’s an important step. I’d advise others preparing for similar surgeries to lean on support from family, friends, or fellow moms going through cancer treatment (#momcontent). Sharing your journey, including the struggles and small victories, can be a powerful way to cope. Remember to listen to your body and allow plenty of time for recovery as being sore and tired is completely normal after a major procedure like this. If you’re facing surgery for cancer treatment, know that each step forward is a step toward healing. Keep communicating with your medical team about pain management and recovery tips to make the process smoother. Recovery is unique to everyone, so be kind to yourself along the way.
