What do people bring?!

I’ll be starting my first full-time office job in the new york this spring — and honestly? I have no clue what adults actually bring with them every day. I know everyone has their keys + wallet + phone, but beyond that I’m lost. Do people carry disinfectant wipes? A battery pack? Headphones? A notebook? Do I bring my own personal laptop or is that weird?

Also… what do people use to carry everything? A backpack? Tote bag? Briefcase? I don’t want to show up looking like I’m still on a college campus, but I also don’t want to be the one person dragging around way too much stuff.
