DIY Pocket Insert for my Travelers Notebook

... Read moreCreating your own pocket inserts for a Travelers Notebook can be both fun and highly practical. When I started making my inserts, I realized finding the perfect size for specific notebooks like the Hobonichi Weeks or Kinbor was quite challenging since most pre-made inserts do not fit perfectly. Using A6 pocket inserts as a base allowed me to customize and make them compatible with multiple notebooks, including my Coach notebook—a two-for-one benefit that saved space and money. In my process, I used a generous amount of glue, which initially made me worry the project wouldn’t turn out well. However, patience was key; I left the project overnight to ensure everything bonded properly. After about three days, it was ready to use and really enhanced my planner organization. The whole process, though sometimes humorous as I caught myself distracted by memes during editing and crafting, reminded me how rewarding DIY projects can be. For anyone interested in DIY planner inserts, I recommend starting with precise measurements of your notebooks and deciding what type of pockets you need—whether for storing receipts, notes, or stickers. Choosing the right material that’s sturdy yet flexible and using quality adhesive will result in durable inserts. Plus, customizing your planner this way allows you to express creativity and better organize your life. Don’t be afraid to experiment with designs and sizes to find what works best for you!

Try using e6000 or something like it to fuse a piece of fabric or washi to the middle seam to cover the holes and the messy from the super glue. It’s totally unnecessary but it will make it prettier. Great idea! 💡
