POV: You’re shadowing a real ambassador at UN Bangkok 🇺🇳

Here’s how I got the opportunity 👀✨

Day 1: I attended a reception at the Australian Ambassador’s residence 🇦🇺🥹

The warmest welcome ever 🤍

Got to network with senior leaders, meet other winners of the program, and connect with female ambassadors from many countries who are currently based in Thailand 🇹🇭

Day 2 (morning):

I had breakfast with the Ambassador and senior leaders from Thailand.

Since the theme was International Women’s Day,

I got to share my perspectives and ideas as well 🤍

Not gonna lie….I was very nervous 😅

Trying to eat while being nervous the whole time 🥹😂 Then we took the embassy’s car to 🇺🇳!

📍 The main conference focused on celebrating

International Women’s Day, featuring panel discussions, speeches, and a video showcasing all the campaign winners.

I was incredibly excited…it was my first time sitting in a UN conference room alongside ambassadors from many countries.

Honestly, it felt like a dream come true for someone who has always wanted to work in International Relations 🥹😭🤍

In the afternoon, I got to tour the Australian Embassy 🇦🇺🐨 and have conversations with diplomats stationed in Thailand.

Those conversations were truly impactful and changed how I see my future ❤️

In the evening, the embassy hosted a panel discussion on the topic, and I was lucky to join as well ✨

The Ambassador was incredibly kind and welcoming.

I gained real, firsthand insights into the IR field.

Honestly, it’s one of the happiest (and most nerve-wracking 😅) days of my life.
