Guacamole and homemade chips
Guacamole:
5-6 avocados (more if feeding a crowd)
Half a tomato (chopped)
Onion (if you prefer)
1/4 cup Cilantro (fresh cilantro is my favorite)
Salt and Pepper (as much as you like)
Garlic or garlic powder (as much as you like)
1 lime (squeeze out the juice)
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mash with a meat masher, fork, spoon, or whatever you have to mash with.
Home made Chips:
Low carb tortillas (I get mine from @Aldi. I take 3-4 slice them in to triangles with a pizza cutter.)
Air fry them at 360 for 8-9 minutes.
Guacamole originated from Mexico and has quickly become one of the most popular dips worldwide, known for its creamy texture and rich flavor. The key ingredient, avocado, is not only delicious but also packed with healthy fats and essential nutrients like potassium and vitamin E. To ensure you get the best flavor out of your guacamole, consider using ripe avocados. The flesh should yield slightly when you squeeze it gently, indicating it's ready for mashing. In addition to the base ingredients you’ve mentioned, you can also customize your guacamole with different spices or ingredients. For instance, some people enjoy adding diced jalapeños for a spicy kick, while others might opt for diced mango or pineapple for a tropical twist. The chips complement the guacamole perfectly, and making them at home guarantees they are fresh and healthier than store-bought versions. Using low-carb tortillas is a great way to keep this snack light. The air fryer technique helps achieve that desired crispiness without excessive oil, making it a healthier option. Just be careful not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking. Whether you're hosting a party or just craving a snack, this guacamole and homemade chips recipe is bound to impress! Try experimenting with different seasonings and additional toppings to find your perfect flavor combination. Don't forget to serve with lime wedges and extra cilantro for garnish!
