The Story Line: A Boy from the Ghetto with Astonishing Piano Talent, with Friendship and Competition in the World of Classical Music
Synopsis
The story begins with the meeting of two boys of extreme different backgrounds; "Ichinose Kai" (Kai), a boy who grew up in a red-light district and lived a poor life, but he has a knack for playing the piano that is left in the woods behind school to become a musical sound with a soul; and "Amamiya Shuhei" (Shuhei), a famous pianist son who has just relocated his school and is rigorously trained in classical music.
When Shu-hei heard Kai playing the piano in the woods, he found himself by chance the most fearsome competitor. The friendship and rivalry of the two began when they met "Master Ajino," a former virtuoso pianist who had lost his hand in an accident and foresaw a glimpse into Kai. The trio had to travel through a musical path to advance into a world-class piano competition amid finding out "what is real music?" between perfect skills, or a relayed heart.
