Music Replay 2025
Not that much of a change from last year. I must say since going to Yugyeom’s Trusty Tour, I have been stuck on his music. I would dare to say he is my ultimate bias now 🫣 Sorry Kihyun and Jimin 😭.
Attending Yugyeom’s Trusty Tour was a real turning point for me this year. Live performances have a unique way of deepening your connection to an artist’s music, and that was certainly true for Yugyeom. Since then, I’ve found myself returning to his albums, especially 'Interlunar' and the song 'SHE,' on repeat. The intimate atmosphere of the tour made every track feel more personal, turning him into my ultimate bias, even as a longtime fan of other artists like Kihyun and Jimin. It’s interesting to see how my listening habits reflect broader trends within my favorite genres. K-Pop clearly dominated my 2025 playlist with over 45,000 minutes of listening time, but R&B & Soul also held a special place with over 18,000 minutes. Yugyeom’s versatile styles bridge these genres, which explains why his music resonates so deeply for me. Comparing months, BTS and ENHYPEN also showed up frequently in my stats, highlighting a well-rounded appreciation for current K-Pop acts. Yet, Yugyeom’s consistency—being my top artist for multiple months and my top song played over a hundred times—reveals how meaningful his artistry has become in my daily life. The blend of genre diversity and artist loyalty in my playlist has made my music experience richer. It pushes me to explore not just hit tracks but also entire albums and deep cuts that tell more nuanced stories. I recommend fans who haven’t been to a concert recently to consider it; the live experience can change how you connect with music forever, as it did for me this year.
