Blessed & Grateful 🤍
Do you ever think about God’s blessings and become overwhelmed with gratitude?
✨Transparent Moment: Lately I’ve been dealing with issues of idolatry and being more intentional about carving out more time with God.
Tonight, I’m taking a moment to acknowledge my progress and I’m also mapping out where I strive to be.
🤍 I feel extremely Blessed and Grateful! 🙌🏾
It's so wonderful to feel truly blessed and grateful, just like I shared! That feeling of being overwhelmed with gratitude, especially when we intentionally connect with our faith, is incredibly powerful. But sometimes, it can be hard to hold onto that feeling amidst daily life. That's where 'drawing for gratitude' comes in – and it's not always about literal drawing, though that can be part of it! For me, 'drawing for gratitude' means actively pulling blessings into focus and finding ways to express that appreciation. Think about the beautiful heart-shaped floral arrangement I saw – with its 'Celebrating Life's Joys Blessed & Grateful' tag. It's a wonderful visual reminder, a physical manifestation of gratitude that can instantly lift your spirits. Creating or even just noticing such beautiful things can be a powerful way to 'draw' gratitude into your day. One of my favorite ways to truly 'draw for gratitude' is through journaling. It’s more than just writing down a list; it’s a space where I can really delve into my feelings. Sometimes, I’ll even sketch little doodles or symbols that represent what I'm grateful for. For instance, if I'm thankful for a peaceful morning, I might draw a cup of coffee or a sunrise. If I’m thinking about the love of my family, maybe a little heart or a stick figure hug. It doesn't have to be perfect art; it's about the act of expressing. This practice helps me acknowledge my progress, just like I mentioned in my post, and really see how far I've come and where I want to go. Another way I interpret 'drawing for gratitude' is by consciously 'drawing upon' my blessings. This means actively seeking out the good, even when I'm dealing with challenges, like my journey with idolatry and trying to spend more intentional time with God. It’s about recognizing that divine grace is always there to lean on. When I feel overwhelmed, I literally take a moment to 'draw' strength and peace from my faith, remembering all the times God has shown up for me. It’s a mental exercise of focusing on the positive and allowing it to fill me up. If you're looking to start your own journey of 'drawing for gratitude,' here are a few simple ideas: Start a Gratitude Jar: Write down one thing you're grateful for each day on a small slip of paper and put it in a jar. At the end of the year, read them all! It's a beautiful visual collection of your blessings. Create a Gratitude Vision Board: Use images, words, or even small drawings to represent things you're thankful for or blessings you want to attract. Seeing it daily can be a powerful reminder. Mindful Walks: As you walk, consciously observe and appreciate the beauty around you – a vibrant flower, a clear sky, the sound of birds. It's a way of drawing nature's peace into your heart. Express it Verbally: Don't just feel it, say it! Thank someone genuinely, tell a loved one how much they mean to you. Verbal expression is a powerful way to 'draw' more positivity into your relationships. These practices help me feel even more blessed and grateful, turning my reflections into actionable steps. They help me stay connected to the source of my joy and keep mapping out my spiritual path. Give them a try – you might be surprised how much more gratitude you can 'draw' into your life!
